These are some weird experiments, I've been illustrating on things at the moment looking for potential to turn them into animation. The babies look like they're in some sort of guitar-womb.
Alec is studying animation in his final year of Visual Communication at Birmingham City University. In his time at BCU he developed his abilities as a animator in many different directions, pursuing a broad range of animation techniques, giving him the ability to do whatever suited his ideas best.
In 2009 he was selected to create an animated short as a part of the Flatpack festival, an experience he found very rewarding. For this he used a mixture of film/photomontage and hand drawn. He also worked on an animated film about the typographer John Baskerville, using cutout animation to bring old images to life.
His personal animations tend to be short and sweet, but he always open to new ideas and collaborative work, so don't hesitate to get in touch.
